I watched this game in Vancouver and went to Robson st. after Jays won the championship. The street was so crowned but everyone was happy and exchanged high-five with passing strangers. It was like a whole country was united. That was the very nice moment to see.. I am in Japan now but still remember the scene. Thank you very much for uploading this video.

A day I will never forget. Bought my single ticket across the street in Ron Jaworski's sports bar, it was an Oakland A's ticket for management attending the baseball meetings. A personal friend of Tony LaRussas was sitting next to me, he was an executive with General Motors. He invited me golfing with Tony and Sandy Alderson the next day, I declined, not wanting to make a fool out of myself. Here I am sitting between third and home, about 16 rows from the field, I'm in the first row of seats after the walkway separating field level seats from the rest of the first level. Frank Robinson is sitting behind me, Whitey Herzog is close and LaSorda is lower, behind home plate. It's the seventh inning stretch and the crowd is going nuts, applauding and yelling, Donald, Donald! It was Donald Trump walking by me, was that something, I had read some of his books. I got pretty drunk at Jaworski's following the game. The next day, I needed to pick up my A's tickets that were offered to me the night before. Got to meet LaRussa and Alderson and thanked them for the tickets. As I was leaving their Hotel, I talked a little baseball with Johnny Bench and Vin Scully while they were waiting for their ride to the park. Unreal. That was 30 years ago and now I'm suffering from ALS. I was in Baltimore the night Cal Ripken broke Lou Gehrigs record!

I was faithfully watching these series on ctv some odd years ago and was amazed how everyone including my immigrant familly cheered for the Jays, it was my first time experiencing as a 12-13 year old belonging as a whole country to this team, now that I'm 44 years old sitting and reflecting about that feeling of belonging in my own country Djibouti, those were great years

"Alomar". Winfield was not on this team. he was on the 1992 team that were also champions. and it's Todd Stottlemyer. Mel was his famous baseball father. Jack Morris did almost nothing for Toronto. he was always either injured or losing.

@@RedroomStudios Jack Morris went 21-6 in 1992, and the Jays only won the division by 4 games, so I don't think it's accurate to say he did "almost nothing" for them.

Great Video!...and I liked the music. I watched the series in Cozumel Mexico. I was the only one in the Sports Bar except for a couple of waiters who was cheering for the Blue Jays.

I met the trio of Molitor, Alomar, Carter in 1993 just before the playoffs started. They were playing Detroit in a weekend series. I was downtown and saw these three guys walk out of the hotel towards a restaurant down the street. I recognized Alomar but it was Molitor that i liked best. Mr Clutch base hit, anytime, any part of the ball park. So I went up to say hello. Surprise. Didnt have a sharpee. Walking alongside the three making nervous talk..." think you re gonna win? Do these games matter? (Jays already won the AL East)...polite responses..." I gotta shake Paul's hand" i said , Joe threw his head back and laughed. Alomar felt dissed for some reason. My g-friend would have died to meet Robbie Alomar but i could care less. So Robbie felt unloved or something. My g-friend had to work. She was not impressed when i told her i met a few blue jays downtown. Wow, did i hear about it. I was supposed, apparently, to redirect them to the restaurant she was working at. Lol. That year was crazy. And then these same guys just went and won the world series. She broke up with me when they did. Today i realize; thats what idolatry looks like.

Its ironic that the 2 greatest sports moments in Toronto History happened against Philadelphia on series winning play. (Kawhi Leonard in 2019, and obviously Joe Carter in 1993)

It was only the second time in history that The World Series was clinched by a Home Run! I didn't watch it live with my baseball buddies, I would've only jinxed it! Great series though, it had everything - Game 4 was an absolute classic!

Good days to be a fan of the Toronto Blue Jays. Average 4 million fans per season and lots of money to buy the greatest talent available on the market. Was tough to imagine in those days the wheels ever falling off. Sell the brewery that owned them though and priorities change quickly. Great days and fun while it lasted ....
