@@klompsauce I'm all aboard the #RETIRE91 train, but retiring 8 numbers is a bit much. I like the idea of some kind of Tribute though. Oh, I got a good idea! Recently I read that Vladdy was going to loose his medical benefits due to some change in state policy or some bureaucratic insurance fine print bull shit. It would be fitting for Chris Illitch to foot these bills considering the organization loves to really, exploit? No to strong of a word. Hmm, they love to really sell us the inspirational story and nostalgia. And rightfully so I say given it's one of the best in sports imo, but if we're gonna treat him like a hero when the cameras are on it's only right we take care of him when they're not. I doubt Mr.I would even have to think about given that he proved to truly be one of the few ultra rich that still remained humble and kind.

Meh, we do win important games, but we lose abysmally against teams that we shouldn't lose to... I haven't really gotten onboard the hype yet, there is still a bunch of holes that need to be fixed in this team. Hopefully when Vrana, Fabbri, Sunny come back we will start slaying. I think we will be Dominant in like 2024-2025. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

Scotty Bowman had no use for guys like Dave Schultz and Bob Probert and yet in December of 1996 brought a guy off the scrapheap down in San Antonio, Texas with badly damaged hands and gave him a role as a 3rd line checker on the Grind Line and used him in 37 playoff games in 1997 and 1998 winning Stanley Cups. He was our protector in 1994 playing 20 games as we won a Stanley Cup in NY and then 3 years later won back to back Cups playing 37 playoff games scoring 5 goals and 8 points with 52 penalty minutes. Smart toughness and in 1997 his line checked the Legion of Doom! One Joe Kocur!

Meanwhile, 10 years later Steve YZ, the $1,000 suit phoney man went to Tampa to be an executive. At the same time he was exec of Team Canada. With meanness and astounding stupidity, he left the legendary Martin St Louis OFF LOF THE TEAM CANADA ROSTER! ! ! What an insult. ! ! ! He put untested sophomore rookie Steve Stamkos on team instead. This was complete disrespect of a Captain, a Hall of Fame Numbers and Awards Person. Martin could no longer play for such a Sn§\ Person. And requested trade. So, Martin St Louis did NOT go on to become the face of the franchise as an exec like Jean BELIVEAU. Martin should have had a statue of himself beside Phil Esposito,the first Tampa exec, outside of Tampa Forum. Anyway to show Sn§\ man mistake, Martin had A FOUR GOAL GAME in one of his last Tampa appearances ! ! ! Eventually, because of injuries, Martin St.Louis was added to the Team Canada Rooster. Damage was done because Martin could no longer respect Sn§\ man, $1,000 suit. Mr. StevenYz, Sn§\ man, $1,000 suit is Yesterday’s man out of touch with the creative, quick, spontaneous game of today. He is stuck into toxic ‘The Man’ role which is hack/slash hockey not the elegance and laser sparkle of today. Also, he is one of the worst communicators I have ever heard with a two note delivery and no enthusiasm or instinct. OK DUE RESPECT to his player statistics. But as an executive, does he deserve your respect? Hey, how is The Yzerplan going ? Any , for those of you with no discernment, you have the right to bow down to a false Humble Phoney in a $1,000 suit. I choose not to respect him. I respect people like Bobby Orr, Bill GUERIN, Billy Smith, Jean BELIVEAU, Martin BRODEUR, Peter Stemkowski, Henri Richard, Tim Thomas, Dennis Hull, Doug Harvey, Brad Park, Phil Esposito, Tony Esposito, Mark Messier, Andy Bathgate, Bobby Baun, And 🧂🧂🧂🧂🧂Martin St.Louis 🧂🧂🧂🧂🧂 ! ! ! SALT OT THE EARTH ! ! ! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
@klompsauce

He built the team that won in Tampa, and we will have another Cup in 3 years. At the time, Stammer was better than St. Louis and tough decisions have to be made. Yzerman absolutely understands the current game and isn’t stuck on “the man” whatever that means, the Yzerplan will work here too, because he’s the best GM in the NHL. Stammer having made 4 finals winning 2, and Marty is 1 for 2, don’t think it’s a stretch to say Stammer is better and that the right choice was made. Crawford using Borque instead of Gretz in 1998 in the shootout was far more egregious, how’d that team do that Stammer was picked for over Marty? Steve is the epitome of class, wildly respected throughout the hockey world, and an all time talent. And bad communicator? He’s literally called The Captain, for his leadership abilities, guessing that includes locker room speeches.
