This is perfect to sleep to. I miss being in Florida so much. My favorite memory is being at my grandmas old mobile home down there, lying in bed next to her with the window open and it was raining. Not too hard, but raining nonetheless. All the critters were still making their noises, chirping and croaking. The palm leaves and bushes would rustle in the wind. It was also almost like you could hear the humidity of the night. You can hear the air and the space outside in a strange sense. Then, of course, the sound of rain pattering down onto the tin roof. I don’t like those looped sound videos. I like real ones like these. Thank you

I live in Utah = desert. We usualy get a couple of decent storms per year, but nothing like the 2 wonderful videos of yours that I've watched so far. I say "MASSIVE POSITIVE RESPONSE" from both my husband and I. We both grew up in the south: South Carolina and Louisiana and we know what excellent thunderstorms sound like: YOURS Thank you for posting these and we look forward to many more.

Is it safe to assume the super close strikes are the ones causing the “snap” before the thunder ? Did something in the home get fried ?

Wow! I was in Orlando back in June of this year, on June 19th, a Tornado Warning was issued and I was home alone. I was also in an Air B&B, and there wasn’t much extremely close lightning strikes, but boy was that wind howling! I was getting blown away!

Mother of God...After 19:00...Wow...there's no doubt there was a lot of energy in this thing. Bright red on the Doppler I'd say. Amid all the storms occurring during your average Florida summer, this type is a bit rare in my experience.

The one at 11:42 there was a small “snap” right before the crash. That’s too close for comfort.
