Been in the business for a few years now. Usually I prevac first, and go through and steam out all the cupholders and crevices, then do the seating, and finally the carpeting. Usually I work and do that whole process section by section. Last steps on the interior are all the plastic usually in an APC wipe down. Glass Is the final stage

Roof liner visors and door pillars first. Seats and carpets then interior plastic and vinyl next.exterior wash,wax and hand drying then the glass last is how I do it

Wrong on both guesses for the Scotch Guard. Currently $84 from the link you provided...I'd be a little hesitant to buy that aqua vac too the reviews on Amazon aren't promising. I do like though that you always try to find cheap/affordable ways to run a detailing business. Good video. Thanks
@wilsonautodetailing

Ya haha it’s a little more expensive than I remember. The aqua pro vac is all I need in my world for the cars that I see on a regular basis. People generally have extremely high expectations when it comes to extractors, and the aqua pro vac is not the most powerful, it’s not the most effective extractor on the market, but you have to apply context to WHAT YOU NEED. If you need a $2000 hot water extractor that weights 100 pounds then the aqua pro vac is definitely not for you. But if you are working mobile on just averagely dirty cars and nicer maintenance vehicles like I do in my business then this is all you would need. The reviews are a little Difficult because there is no context applied by the buyer.

so if a cheap extractor is not enough to do a job. does that mean that one can charge 200 dollars on a interior detail just to use the 2,000 dollar extractor. they all work they all do that same thing. in my honest opinion. nobody is gonna pay you for a service just because your using a 2,000 dollar extractor. all tools do the same

Hey I just recently got the aqua pro vac and I have two questions. One do you know what the point is and the difference between the top yellow button being opened or closed? Also mine leaks right out of the box from the small black peace that's right after the trigger which is the first part of the spray nozzle does yours do that?

I came across a car a few months ago where when I hit the seats with the drill brush dirt and dust started to fly everywhere. Looked like they had parked in a sand storm. Keep hitting it with the drill brush and the shop vac sucking up the dirt but turned into a big project. What would you suggest for a situation like that
@wilsonautodetailing
5 жыл бұрын
Honestly sometimes it’s good to be in those scenarios because a vacuum will not get up all the dirt by itself and you need a drill brush to stir up the dirt that is really set in. It sounds to me like you were working on an older car? Am I right? Sometimes those older ones, particularly cloth seated cars and work trucks that have aged have endless amounts of dirt and debris and it’s really not even possible to get ALL OF IT entirely
@richardfusaro1069
5 жыл бұрын
Wilson Auto Detailing it was older. I think a 03 corolla. Definitely wasn’t taken care of. I did ask the owner to see where that all might have come from but she wasn’t sure. I think it may have been from where we work. At our job in the summer she likes to leave the windows down and our maintenance guy usually goes around with the leaf blower doing yard work and he doesn’t really care about the cars in the way. So I’m thinking that’s where most of the dirt is from.

Me I would extrac the seats even though it's clean, because the client will check and investigate his personal car , he will, look,touch, and see what effort you made . He will want to know if you're lazy and cutting corners which Human being love to do . But you should always clean everything in the car with the machine and all purpose cleaner. ....If I have a brand new BMW X7 and I wanted the carpet clean, I will touch the carpet and touch,to see what has been done

Does anyone know how to get smells out of leather and keep it from absorbing them? I have a friend that I drive around and his house smells like bad curry. Even though I only drive him 2-3 times a week, the seat he sits in smells like his house (I have a strong nose). What could I do to get rid of that smell before I line my seats with plastic bags?
