True, because the stock market is controlled by the market maker, not fundamentals, technical, or other factor. Market maker decide the price, the rest is just there for decorations. @@violarulez I love seeing dudes showing these graphs with moving averages and shit, and acting like they predicted the collapse of '29 hahahaha Dude, you're picking the winners/losers at yesterdays horse race. You have zero notion of where you should enter or exit a stock based off of your little 3-day chart. Institutional traders look at Volume (liquidity), Portfolio Delta (long or short), and managed risk on big moves on billion dollar portfolios. That's literally who you're competing against, and you think "got 'em" with a head & shoulders pattern? I only play options/futures and use covered calls when I want to buy stock. So I only work with Greeks basically, but even then you have to have a lot of instinct to avoid major pitfalls.

Emergent properties are some of my favourite subjects in any field in which they appear. The fascinating thing about individual versus collective intelligence as you brought up with any colonies is that it applies to us humans as well, and on more than one level. Our bodies are a collection of a whole lot of cells. These cells are individuals; they don't know what another cell halfway across the body is experiencing or doing. How do cells know what to do at any moment, or how to cooperate to form complex systems? At the higher level, you have us. Our intelligent minds, coordinating the behaviours of the body as a whole. Yet we are not our cells. We don't possess that level of minute awareness over our tissues. As the cells die and are replaced, we persist. They compose us, yet we are more that merely the sum of our parts. Then on an even higher level, you have collectives of human intelligence. Corporations, nation-states. They are not the individual citizens and employees. As employees retire, the company remains. It can grow and change. It can even die. They are a new kind of intelligence; a life-form on a scale somewhat beyond us, yet built and maintained by us going about our daily lives.

How I trade when I’m doing it right, in a nutshell. Bought boatloads of Jan ‘14 $26 FB calls when it was $22-24 in 1st half of 2013 and analysts who in my mind clearly spent no time on FB on their phones were *still* saying “they can’t monetize mobile”. Same for Apple that year when analysts screamed “it’s Blackberry.” And last Spring with SWBI (fka AOBC). Also, this video has the key takeaways from what I learned getting a B.A. in econ, to boot. Namely, “BTW, if we ever make a predictive macroeconomic model that works, it will work once because the second time it won’t account for itself.” 10/10. Subscribed. You, like Father Guido Sarducci with his 5 minute University, could have saved me a lot of time. Or at least the 16 weeks I actually applied myself in undergrad.

I think you have the intuition dead on here when you describe how a prediction on a prediction on a assumption leads to questionably reliable results, but you used the word "complicated." Something that I think most people have no intuition about is that these systems are also chaotic, meaning that even if you had perfect information, a very slight change in the initial conditions can lead to wildly different outcomes. The logistic map is arguably the simplest example of this, and it has to do with a very simple model of population growth.

Effing genius. Like, I want you to have my job. I'm an English professor and tutor. It's yours. You don't have to teach novels in college anymore. You teach "texts," which means bags of Cheetos and episodes of Stranger Things and an occasional peer reviewed pop culture article on Eleven and Sublimation of Castration Anxiety written by a post-structuralist who specializes in Post Colonial Marxist Dialectical Gender Theory. You don't have to quiz them on it. Just hand it out. It'll remind them that the class isn't about your preoccupation with Stranger Things. It's about how you're smarter than most people, so long as you don't show them your Robinhood account. You can have my car, too. And my flashlight and extension cords. You can do a Freudian analysis of the previous sentence. You probably already did because you're so effing smart that I'm gonna have to yolo some Tide pods tonight. NO. That wouldn't accomplish anything, and I wouldn't be around to see if AMC shares go to 10k. I'm about to watch some of your other videos, and once the adderall kicks in, I'll feel less greedy, more in love, and I'll pay you with money I don't have because I Nasdaq gamble.

What is the best possible way to make money from investing

Actually I don't trade, I invest with a professional assigned by a crypto company that trades for us and returns profits weekly for me and you can invest your capital and get weekly Returns of investment (ROI) without any extra fees attached

I think the best way is to invest with a professional, at least it saves the trauma of too many losses

GameStop WASN'T a good deal at all... Until they were able to sell of their stock at ABSURDLY high prices and restructure their business model as a result. Give me another company that's had the same opportunity. Wall street bets funded GameStock's rebirth.

basically, the only way to make the stocks go up is by convincing a bunch of losers that their money will multiply if they give them money to buy a certain stocks, and whoever exit last will become the king of losers. but, you'll always end up in prison for minimum 20 years, for making a pyramid scheme and tanking the whole market, and potentially bankrupting JP Morgan in the process
