Thank you Alex! Appreciate you checking it out. It works in both directions. Usually, I try to think of some kind of structure beforehand, but I often find it very interesting to look back once a project is finished to see what structures are there that I might not have intended in the first place. I can highly recommend the latter as well; you might be surprised by some of the results!

Thank you so much! That is a little doodle I made up on the spot that would highlight the type of chord motion I'm using very clearly. Since it's a quite standard harmonic pattern, you hear it in quite a number of songs. The example you sent indeed uses the same motion in the first couple of bars, and you also hear it in "We Wish you a Merry Christmas", for example.
