many thanks for that one! With your perfect 3 part video I was able to fix a completly jammed and dirty Compur Rapid of an 1936 Voigtländer Bessa 6x9 Rangefinder. I had to completly disassemble it to the shutter blades and from there back again. Now everything works again, even the self timer. The only thing that was different was the design of the cocking ring, that has a little catch up lever at the bottom, I couldn't figure out where that catch went to..A beer for the man!

Thank you so much, Chris! To my great amazement I succeeded to open up a Schneider-Kreuznach Angulon on Compur-Rapid, correct a loose aperture blade and mount it all back again (though the system wasn't exactly the same as in your video) - to working order! Had the gears cleaned too in the process. Thank you!

Once again, my sincere thanks Chris. Fortunately for me, my Rolleicord IIc Compur sinch. shutter was almost identical to the one you showed us here (apart from the aperture blades/plate assembly and different shutter blades configuration), and I was able to finish the job on it 15 minutes ago (after quite a few hours), following your you-tube lead and some descriptions and photos from your site. Resulting in 100 percent functional shutter. Ave. Marijan

Thanks Chris. Followed along pretty much exactly with your videos on compur rapid shutter from a Agfa Isolette II. My first successful camera repair (2 broken cameras in draw so I don’t look at them). The aperture diaphragm reassembly was a bit of a nightmare as my 2 spanner sockets weren’t as perfect fit as yours. But my version had screw cutouts so I inverted the blade sandwich a couple of times jiggling the lugs into position. Some of the cocking mechanism was different and I must emphasise your point about lots of photos as it was unexpected problems they helped with. Also interested in your extensive tooth pick use as a tool. Something I’d been doing before your video and not seen anyone else using until now. All the best from UK.

Great! Thanks for your videos they helped me a lot, much more than the service guides. However after reassembling mine I found that the B o T settings are still not operating properly and may be due to the damaged lever. Unless I get a replacement part from another unit I will sell the camera as is.

Fantastic work! Which molybdenum grease do you use? And do you think that molybdenum grease is better than for example teflon synthetic grease?

I use this stuff. www.rocol.com/products/dry-molybdenum-disulphide-paste I'm about two-thirds through the tube after fifteen or so years. A little goes a long way.

What are the best screwdrivers to get for doing shutter work ? For the life of me I could not get the shutter plate off. I was so afraid of stripping the screws. I even tried a slight hammer and twist action. Nope. Didnt budge.
