I loved that first apartment. "Kitchenet with a hot plate." Keeping in mind this is obviously a very old episode going back nearly two decades, easily. So now it's probably like $7K at month.... and you still don't get a stove. So not worth it. Anyone living in Queens, just outside of Manhattan can get a real one-bedroom apartment with a real kitchen and an actual stove for just a tiny fraction of what they'd pay for a cramped crappy studio apartment in Manhattan. So idiotic. Unless you have at least a six-figure job and find an apartment in the city a few short blocks away from work, it is definitely not even remotely worth it.
