***** do you know him? Watch his documentary he's actually a self-absorbed ass when he leaves the stage. I find that performers can be completely different once they leave that stage. Don't get me wrong Conan as we see him on tv is absolutely hilarious and seems like a good person. In real life he's someone I wouldn't want to meet. His channel has the movie for free right now- check it out.

I've loved Conan since I was 12 (I'm 33 now), and he's my favorite person/comedian of all time. I finally got the chance to meet him last Thursday at his taping and he was so kind and generous and hilarious. I use a wheelchair and had to go through a different entry gate with my friends. We had to wait for awhile and had gotten to know one of the PAs before the show while we were waiting. We were laughing and chatting and my friends were telling him how much I love Conan. After we finally got seated, apparently the PA told Conan's assistant how much I love him. I was sitting in the front row because of my wheelchair, and Conan purposely went out of his way to come talk to me after he did his monologue. I thought he was just swooping in for a quick hug (I had a sign asking him to hug me), but he gave me a bear hug and then he chatted with me for a few minutes, made some jokes, met my friends, and told me I looked really beautiful. Before he went to shoot the next segment, he asked if I wanted him to autograph my sign later. Of course, I said yes. Right after the show, he whipped out a sharpie from his jacket and came straight over to me. He signed my poster, and chatted with me a bit more. Then he stood up, but instead of leaving, he leaned back down, I thought to give me another hug, but instead he kissed me on the cheek. I felt like I was glowing from the inside out. Then the PA came back with four Pop Vinyl Conans for me and my friends. Conan said, "Oh yeah!" and signed a Ghostbuster Pop Vinyl Conan for me. At that point, his assistant told him they needed to go, but Conan handed us the rest of the figures and said he was so glad to meet me and waved goodbye and I just sat there, radiating joy. No one is a perfect person, obviously, but he is clearly a caring man to take so much time to talk to me, and he couldn't have been kinder to me and my friends. Plus, it's hard to imagine so much of his staff literally following him across the country to do another show with him if he were just a huge ass. Ever since my experience of meeting him last week, I've felt so happy. I'm so grateful to Conan for exceeding my expectations and to the PA for putting in a word with Conan's assistant. What a wonderful experience! :)

@@chandlersentertainment7314 I watched the documentary and didn't get that impression. He's clearly obsessed with trying to entertain every possible person he could find while exhausting himself in the process, but I don't think that paints him in a bad light

Whether you think Conan is funny or not (and those of you who don't are categorically WRONG, for the record), he's a man that worked his ass off behind the scenes for years so he could propagate an idea through comedy...an abstract ideal thta we can all aspire to...regardles of class, race, or rank. It's clear that his goal is commiseration and joy. Lets not forget his final message on NBC...that "cynicism is my least favorite attrribute". There's plenty else to laugh at. Thank you, Conan.

Tonight I felt sick to my stomach seeing Conan go. I'm so angry with NBC that they could be so blind to his vision and his appeal to us young people. I mean honestly, I'm 14-years-old and he has me literally rolling on the floor til I can't breathe. And now for him to be replaced with this old man and his retarded rehearsed one-liners is just sickening. Conan is so natural and unpretentious. That's what makes him beautiful. I'm going to miss you Conan -- I love you.

The purpose of the commencement speech is to humble and inspire the graduating class. These kids worked their asses off so they can change the world. Sure...some of them are rich kids that had zero potential energy in the first place, but for the most part, they're kids that had more foresight, disipline and compassion than the rest of you armchair pundits to enter the world with a foundation of insight and understanding to affect some sort of positive change.
