You should always start with the hoist "up" as if there was a "reverse phase" issue this will give you an opportunity to correct before two-blocking.

He said to always start out by Pressing the DOWN button (to check out the electrics). Does this hold true just for this particular model of Overhead Crane OR ANY Crane equipped with 3 Phase Electric Motors?

Ok. So the hook is on the floor,how do you inspect the cable for frays or snaggs without a scissorlift to go up and check at the top ? Seems like you inspected the cable from about 25 ft from the actual cable itself...js...

Maybe it is one of those cases where the components were made overseas but they were assembled here in the USA. I "think" that may make it legal.

Yeah, you're right. This crane is a rebranded Konecrane which is a Finnish company that orders parts from manufacturers in Europe and China and rebrands them to Konecrane. They do have an assembly plant in Springfield, Ohio though. But yeah, absolutely nothing is "made" in the USA. The pendant is for example made by TER which are made in Italy which gets rebranded twice hahahaha
