That made me cry for some odd reason. The flight crew and ATC just ooze professionalism and that aeroplane was just so bloody good. It feels as if we've lost something very important....

I think it was the "for the last time" part. Having seen the first ever Concorde departure and the final landing at Filton, it was a big part of my life and i still miss them.

I live in Wokingham, Berkshire and I remember Concorde zooming over our school at about 11.00 am when it first starting flying. It was absolutely deafening and everything had to stop. It was so loud, no one could speak over it. Then I remember it stopped being quite so loud. I absolutely loved that plane and I watched the final flight going over Twyford where I worked much later and it caught the sun. Flight path areas. Love the calm British voices - so proud.

I was in high school when the last ba flight from Jfk to Heathrow. I've studied every bolt in her and is by far my favorite plane. I think my favorite captain was John Hutchinson. I love his swag and experience behind the controls. Cheers!!

I first saw Concorde in 1972. She was doing a special flypast for BAe Preston. Too see her aerobatics was something I'll never forget. Brings tears to my eyes even now. Damn the French for ruining the dream.

In theory the only ones on the RT/Radio should be planes and the controllers and listening in is technically against UK law... Though I don't believe there are any recent convictions

@@Trek001how can it be ilegal? If they can sell recordings or allow media to broadcast transmissions for money! Probably why no prosecutions. It's public domain as we pay for it all.

In all the general high-pressure ATC operations at H'row, Approach/Director aces this intricate ballet of sequencing.... with humour, humility and professionalism. (Great to hear millibars again - not the hated "hectopascals".)

You could wheel those planes out now, put a bit of oil in 'em and fly again. Best engineering accomplishment ever, for it's time. The De Gaulle disaster was no fault of Concorde but was the excuse used to terminate them.

This country has lost a plane that is British symbolism to the letter.British airways made a very big mistake. They should have allowed Richard Branson to purchase her as he wanted,he would have made a big success of her.It is a big shame to see this grand old lady grounded for ever. She will be missed by all her British fans........

It was a British Airways idea they wanted each concorde they had to land in order for the final flights one after another that's why they are talking times and planning it all out
