Concrete cutting... it's what we do. The Colorado River Aqueduct is a massive 242 mile long water conveyance that provides Southern California with a large majority of its drinking water. Overtime, the structure’s concrete begins to crack and water begins to rust the underlying rebar. The continuous erosion means that every year the aqueduct needs to be shut down for two weeks to conduct maintenance and repairs.
A concrete cutting, breaking and removal project of this magnitude takes many crews, around the clock work, and complete expertise. This year the team had over 117 locations to repair spanning over 97 miles! All hands were on deck, as Penhall teams from across the country flew out to come and get their hands dirty.
Penhall Company has proudly been apart of the Colorado River Aqueduct project now for over 15 years!
