I recently noticed a large slab of concrete that needed to be removed from the side of our home. Rather than hiring a professional, I decided to tackle the job myself using the mini-breaker/hammer attachment on my excavator. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to get some hands-on experience with the equipment.
Since I don't have much experience operating heavy machinery through First Person View (FPV) goggles, it took me a while to get the hang of it. Maneuvering the excavator to the work site was the first challenge, especially while adjusting to the FPV perspective. Tracking it through our property wasn't as straightforward as I had hoped.
Once I finally arrived at the concrete slab, piloting the machine became even more challenging. Controlling the breaker with precision required a lot of focus and patience. There were moments when I wondered if I had bitten off more than I could chew.
Despite the steep learning curve, I managed to make some progress. The experience was both frustrating and exhilarating. I captured the whole process on film, and I think you'll find the results entertaining. From the initial hiccups to the eventual breakthroughs, it's been quite an adventure. I hope you enjoy watching my attempts at DIY concrete removal!
