Conclusion: Confident body language is all about opening yourself up, doing slow and controlled motions, speaking with calm and confident voice, having a straight posture with your shoulders back and your chest up, not being afraid to take up space, and looking and feeling comfortable, a rule of thumb is if you feel comfortable you look comfortable. Give yourself 10-15 minutes in front of the mirror after this video, correct some of the things you think need to fixed with your posture, walking or talking. Practice some of the power poses, because those 15 minutes may change how people perceive you. You can literally become more confident, attractive and successful in your social life and in your life in general if you apply these concepts.

Good tips. However, I just noticed on the decrease/increase scale, the picture of decreased side was wearing Vietnamese hat, and the picture of increased side is wearing a crown like European King. It's a small detail, but it looks very offensive and biased. Please get rid of racial bias. Let's respect everyone.

You have done what most people incorrectly do when it comes to Mehrabian's communication theory surrounding body language and the spoken word. You have neglected to include that his research into communication pertained to feelings and attitudes, not communication in general. That would be too simplistic. Mehrabian's research provided the basis for the widely quoted and often much over-simplified statistic for the effectiveness of spoken communications. Here is a more precise (and necessarily detailed) representation of Mehrabian's findings than is typically cited or applied: • 7% of message pertaining to feelings and attitudes is in the words that are spoken. • 38% of message pertaining to feelings and attitudes is paralinguistic (the way that the words are said). • 55% of message pertaining to feelings and attitudes is in facial expression.

slowing down (in speech) shows that you value what you say and that you think what you say is worth paying attention to. 'course speaking too slowly will just make the listener get bored but speaking too fast will also make the listener think you aren't so confident because you seemingly don't value your words. hope i helped.
