I fell in love with Mozart's music when I was 10 years old. I have a severe reaction to poison ivy. That spring/summer Amadeus was on cable. I got poison ivy from a vine that grew into my mothers grape vine. We'd play kick ball and the ball would roll into the ivy. All night I would wipe the sweat off my face, unaware that I was actually coating my face with poison ivy oil. I woke up the next morning and my face had swollen so much I could barely open my eyes. The humid summer heat was a nightmare to my itch factor. All I did for weeks was lay around in agony. The coolest place in thew house was our basement were the TV with cable was. One day I watched Amadeus the best I could with swollen face and eyes. At times all I could do was listen to the music. It would calm me down and I couldn't feel the itch and the burn. I'm 43 now and every time I watch the movie or hear this song it takes me back and calms me down.

Christian funerals are a mixture of sadness and joy. We are sad because our loved one is parted from us. But we have joy because the grace of God through the death of Christ on the Cross provides for our eternal salvation. We'll see them again because we had faith in the Lord Jesus and that faith will bring us together someday. This brings us hope, which is a confidence concerning the future.

Indeed. It's truly sad that one of the most talented and prolific musicians humanity has ever known is buried somewhere in a mass grave, where the exact location has been lost to time. It would've been great if some of the royalty with whom Mozart was acquainted could have gotten him a proper grave site, although if I remember correctly I believe in Austria you don't buy a burial plot outright, you have to essentially pay rent for the entire time the body is in the plot & if the payments stop they relocate you to communal plots. Weird practice.
