Small bars are always the best venues for this kinda stuff. I saw conjurer at Kilby Court in SLC which is basically a damn tool shed and I’ve never forgotten how enraptured everyone in the room was, including myself who’d never heard them before.

Their guitar tone is to DIE for. In the last song the player with the les paul kicks in an HM-2, and later switches to a fuzz and all into an 5150/6505! Fuck, how do you balance this amount of huge gain? Any tips?
@conjureruk
2 жыл бұрын
Dan (Mr Les Paul) is just really good. I use like two noise gates. And actually the gain isn't SUPER high, probably close to 50% on my engl and then when we thrown on HM2's or anything like that, it's purely for effect and in sections we don't need to control too much.

They have 2 tunings, drop A#, that they use in the songs Thankless, The Mire and Of Flesh Weaker Than Ash, and a weird C# standard with the low C# dropped to G#, that they use on the rest of their songs

Sludge has roots in hardcore punk dude. The harsh vocals have always been a part of sludge, not due to any deathcore influence. The riffs are similarly not due to deathcore influence, more death/doom.
