I went through this a couple of years ago when my well went dry. The best solution for putting a garden hose on a tote was a 2" camlock fitting to 3/4" gardern hose male fitting. $20 The cheaper fitting was an ibc 2" threaded fitting to 3/4" garden hose fitting. $15+ both work well and both are made with abs plastic. Btw I elevated my totes on pallets. Good luck out there guys.

I do think I like the third the most. Option 2 would become a pain in the neck faster than Superman in the speeding…you know, the thing….and how long before it wears out it’s welcome (😎), being taken off and put back on over and over. Yea…I think you got a winner in option 3!!

Hi Ed, great video! I am also using an IBC tote for water irrigation and came across an adapter that fits most totes. Google IBC tote female (2” thread) to 3/4” garden hose thread. I’ve had this adapter for about 3 years and solves the problem. I think it costs around $15 back about 3 years ago, well worth it I thought. Anyways, just a suggestion. Have a great day!

Great solutions Ed! I was lazy and just bought a premade connector for $20-25? It screws on the IBC tote & connects to a garden hose. Be careful with water filled totes!!! I have a video where I almost flipped my tractor sideways with a tote. ….also Mike Morgan just had a nice setup with a harbor freight pump that gave him hose water pressure. Great job on your video! Keep’em coming!

It is good the see what options you have and it does not looks straight forward, thanks. We are lucky over here as you can buy a number of different adapter that fit onto the IBC that either have a quick adapter for a hose or a thread for a garden tap ot both

If you get a chance to use one please do. I have cut down 18 trees, 3 of them 27” and bigger. Dug out all three stumps with it. The other trees was 8”s or less. So logs stumps brush no problem. Back blade with it. You don’t have to chase a pile of dirt and ramp your tractor into it. Drive up open the bucket put it over the pile done. But this bucket is heavy. That’s the only draw back. Ok thank you for writing back. I do enjoy your videos.

Hi Ed! Colleen noticed that your arm brace is gone; good job there. Cost-effective would be my choice so I like option three. Now my question is where do you guys get your IBC totes? Do people give them away for free? I see a lot of people on KZitem channels with IBC totes. Anyway, you did a very nice video and Colleen and I are glad you’re feeling better.

Thanks. I’m still wearing the splint but took it off for the video. It’s been 4 weeks and I have a follow up next week. Still pretty painful! I bought a couple totes from a local mulch manufacturer for $50 ea. The dye comes in totes. Then an irrigation company gave me some. They purchase fertilizer in them.

I also wanted to do that to water 21 trees along my road I just planted. Plus some grass I put down. I would use rain water as much as I could. That idea would work great for that. I have one question. I also have a B2601 how full can you get that before it’s to heavy for the tractor?
@MyClutteredGarage

That’s the biggest problem. Maybe not even 100 gals!

Water weighs 8 lb per gallon approx. So look at your specs for tractor max lift subtract the weight of forks, empty IBC tote the balance divided by 8 equals max number of gallons. Give yourself a margin of error.

Why don't you put some air pressure in the tank to increase the effective water pressure.

I have several totes as well, and have been using the second solution for a few years now. I like the convenience of a quick-disconnect. Question. Ever consider getting a step for your tractor? Being a retired and old military guy, my knees don't work as well as they should. I saw on another channel you can buy a Kubota factory step that fits the B2601, and they are easy to install and dirt cheap to buy. kzitem.info/news/bejne/qql8vmx4r6SWe3o I was hesitant at first, but bought one anyways and it's turned out to be some of the best money I've spent on accessorizing my B2601 in a while, other than the ROPS lights, steering wheel knob, and ammo can tool box to replace the factory installed one. BTW, just bought a tiller like yours. Kubota should give you a cut, in my opinion. Great Channel, keep up the good work.
