... okay Ricky ... "fess-up" ... You are the reincarnation of whoever it was that invented the guitar !!! I been 'at-it" for over 50 years as a student, hobbiest, amature, teacher and a pro ... You should be "knighted". You are a national treasure. To say your insights into this instrument are profound is a vast understatement. Thank you !!!

Your a great teacher .... and as a thank you and a token of love and appreciation from Greece .....I will give you a small lesson of my own in Greek .....Iso means equal and sceloi means legs. ... So the isosceles triangle is the one with the "equal legs". Thank you again.

Ricky, I have also been playing guitar for a long time and some of these things you teach I was familiar with, but then you through in the those AHHA moments that blow my mind, that I never new them! You are awesome teacher, brother thank you so much! I feel like I’ve been stuck in the medium to high end intermediate player status for years. Like I was stuck in Guitar Jail with a life sentence. But your teaching has inspired me to realize I can get out of Jail. I’m sticking with you brother. I bought your book and I’m plugging through it. Using the cage system has always just not made applicable sense to me either. But I think once I get the CAGE patterns in you book down in all keys like the back of my hand then I may figure out how to apply them…❤

Ricky you really are a “General”! I’ve been searching the web from 10 years back and there were limited qualified, “effective” “teachers” of guitar… many well intended musicians, some over complicated methods of teaching. I’ve found some good theory people. Learned some good solid and accurate info, etc… But now finally I found Ricky recently and You have made it happen for me 3 nights ago! That magic moment when what’s in my head is finally getting out into this beautiful, amazing instrument! I’ve wanted this since I was a child and saw Fab 4 on Ed Sully! 64 years old and have too much or as I like to say , just the right time on my hands. Ricky Thank You too much! I’m sticking with you my friend. “There will be a little something extra in your Christmas envelope next year”! All right… This year! One Love

"Random Spices" - exactly! Sometimes I cook breakfast with the same basics (eggs, meat, potatoes) but different spices. Some of the results I would never torture a guest with but I learn from them. A better way to learn is to actually understand why I use the spices. I might consider a guest tasting them at that point. BTW - I like your transition from white board over to pdf - excellent move. 👍👍👍 🙂

This is the simplest version of "elevating" from one box to another I've seen and I like it. I have to add this to the list of light bulb moments on your string of lessons - thanks much.
