It truly makes me like it even more than many of my other drives! The fact that this one looks so bad and has nothing wrong with it is amazing... Truly one of those moments which shows some of the worst looking drives can work great, but many cosmetically perfect drives can be totaled!

I had one similar to this. With the same seektest and mine was from 1992. But unfortunately my adapter blew up the Cirrus Logic chip and damaged the board.

Huge bummer! They're really nice. Did you hold on to the rest of the drive? Shame about the board on that one, finding a new one with damage like that would certainly be tough regardless.

@@nnasosss february 1989 , its a stepper based fujitsu m227d2. I dont know its condition yet , but i opened it and it looked very good. so i suppose that its in good condition ;) i will get an mfm controller soon and ill fully test it
