He was pre scanned already. You can have your head down as long as you get a snapshot beforehand & already know where people are, and thus where they could be. Plus in his games so far in the league he’s been keeping his head up nicely, and his dangles are something serious without even looking!

How did he know to pick his heel Up for puck to slide back under? If he didn’t, puck would’ve bounced off skate & become likely turnover. He doesn’t appear to look down, so how did he FEEL the need to lift his heel/blade to allow room for the biscuit? Also love how he adjusts his grip on stick accordingly as well. He chokes up, down & all around. This young man is pure art on the ice. Love to watch any athlete who can move around so effortlessly with the puck.

Kane has played a similar game for 14+ years.. if anything kane plays way less defense and doesn’t win 65% of his faceoffs (I know he’s a winger, he’s still taken a lot of faceoffs) Kane got injured what? Once? The hip surgery is his biggest obstacle and that’s after a decade of playing non stop. People seem to forget the hawks played A-LOT more games than any other team in the 2010s. You CAN be undersized and dominate without getting injured. Look at DeBrincat and theo fleury. Eat right, live in the weight room and keep your head/eyes up. Dudes gonna be fine, even if y’all hope he sucks. I hate the canucks but I don’t do mental gymnastics to come up with a convoluted reason for why their star players suck or are going to suck when they “actually get hit” it’s weird to see so many grown men shit on an 18 year old because he went to a team they hate which he had zero control over.
