Drawing from his extensive Supreme Court litigation experience, Visiting Professor Irv Gornstein leads his Constitutional Law class for first year students in a semester-long examination of today's Supreme Court. He is able to bring top Supreme Court litigators including the current and former Solicitors General of the United States into the classroom to help teach. With the advantage of being home to the Supreme Court Institute, Georgetown Law offers students the benefit of observing advocates practicing their arguments before a panel of experts prior to arguing in front of the Supreme Court the following week. Con Law 1L is just one of many advantages of studying law in Washington, D.C. where the laws are made.
