What a great summary. 4 months of provisioning is really impressive. Really interesting to see the separate perspectives of Chris and Jo, it would be great to see a similar view before you set off. Thanks for all your episodes.

Thank you for watching. We have always camped with limited refrigeration so this is just camping on water with better fridges and freezers with a bigger power supply. Once we swapped a lot of frozen for tin, long life milk to powdered we saved a lot of space and weight. Jo does a fantastic job of calculating the food required.

Great summary. Kept me entertained for 2 years. Will you be doing a summary about the boat, what you liked what you wish you had etc. ?

Unfortunately we are unlikely to have time for that. But pretty much the only thing I wish the 1260 had is storage under the cockpit rear seats. She's setup perfectly now and it suits us very well. That said, we are sailing back to Australia in a few weeks time and No Regrets will be up for sale, we have some big news coming!

What a fantastic way of travelling a around Australia 🇦🇺, unbelievable scenery, amazing experiences, and Tasmania what beautiful place! Thank you for sharing that experience with the rest of us. How did the Seawind cat handle the trip, any problems? And what is next for you guys after a well deserved rest, any more places to explore?

The Seawind I felt handled it the best. We love our big windows for ventilation in the tropics, the helm position for weather protection, I wouldn't be happy with anything else. Only downside, the cold in Tasmania with our big glass windows, condensation was a problem. That said, a proper diesel heater would solve it. A REST... well we are about to return from Vanuatu in a couple of weeks, then a small break before even an bigger adventure to be announced!

Thanks for confirming that the Seawind reputation is well deserved, It’s nice to hear the opinion of someone who had use it for such a long trip. I can wait to see what are your next big adventure. You’re the best!

Thanks for watching. Prior to buying No Regrets Chris did almost 2 years sail racing (WAGS) on a mono. We have always owned a boat since 16yrs old, of various types and sizes for water skiing & fishing . Common sense and being handy is the greatest skill to have. After living aboard 5 years and probably 25k nautical miles we have learnt a lot more than when we started off.

Thanks for all the info. Three quick questions..... 1. Were you ever boarded by police / customs / border-force / parks and wildlife...? 2. Did you carry firearms re the crocs...? 3.. What sailing experience did you both have prior to doing this amazing trip...? Thanks in advance, and kind regards from me in South Aust.

1 - In remote WA we were stopped by Fisheries who wanted to board but we were off already in our tender and they didn't request us to return to No Regrets for them to board. The inspection of fish caught was probably the most extreme I've ever seen, hard to believe the resources required for the VAST majority doing the right thing. We ony ever catch what we directly eat fresh so pretty pointless inspecting us, we have nothing frozen. Police never stopped us, we must look honest, customs and biosecurity always when you arrive and depart from each country (we always are very obliging and follow the rules carefully, often getting a big thank you), never had parks and wildlife visit us either. 2 - No firearms at all, you REALLY do not need them for crocs and I believe shooting them is illegal. You must do the same activity repeatedly for them to learn your behaviour. The attacks are almost always a swimmer in salt water or low lying lagoons, fishing, generally doing something unsafe. They are watching, but really the large ones are timid and stay away. Small ones are curious and go as soon as they get close to have a look. 3 - Chris had 2 years sail racing and we have owned boats for over 30 years always on the water. We have lived aboard now 5 years and sailed approx 25k nautical miles, New Caledonia and Vanuatu as well. We too are originally from SA, hope the answers help
