Thanks for the video! Very informative! Most video chat tools have automatic audio compression which is the reason why you hardly hear dynamic differences. Still very helpful.

I liked this video , but the player who is professional should mention what a composer who is presently unknown or amateur should expect in a player of moderate ability as far as range and volume is concerned. Until a composer has a breakthrough he must write in the hope his piece will be performed by an amateur or moderate level player at best. It will not get much rehearsal time or maybe the piece will get only what they call a read through .

Bob Forrest agree! Good tip for all of us

Bob Forrest ok, but the title is ‘contemporary trombone techniques’. As a composer (quite new) wishing to experiment with trombone timbre using extended techniques, and contemporary I would get frustrated if every tutorial tried to cater for ‘amateur’ players, (some of whom actually having amazing technical ability anyway). I think your suggestion could warrant a separate tutorial.

Agree with you. Or the amateur players will rise up to play at the level they didn't think possible. :)

It is very excellent content, but as audience trying to listen both of you talking making it really hard to get the point. Anyway good effort making this video
