What phone mount do you have in the 690?
@rotor676
Жыл бұрын
Good eye. Nobody asks that, and in my opinion, it's the best mount out. It's from HondoGarage.com Perfect squeeze with vibration dampening and wireless charging. I still use a lanyard just incase. But it never has come off. Also used the trail tech center mount from TacoMoto to hard clamp it to the bars. Used at the time a brand new Samsung S20 & it never damaged the camera due to vibration. Like other brands ie: quad lock garbage. ✌🏼

I think your videography is just fine. If you run 30+ psi with 4mm tubes you won't have pinch flats and torn valve stems. I ride solo, in my 70's with arthritis, and can't change my own tubes. Thank you for your videos. What drone are you using? Oh, and what sprocket pair are you running?
@rotor676

It wasn't a pinch flat my buddy had. But it was a torn stem. yep too low PSI. Told em many times, but sometimes you have to learn the hard way. DJI Mavic 2. I installed a wide-ratio gearbox, so my sprockets are diff. But I can tell you to use Dirt-Tricks rear sprocket they last 25k miles easy. and just a factory front sprocket. Moto-Master chain good for 15k miles. Biggest front sprocket i can put in there. 17 front 50 Rear turns slower lasts longer. Thanks & Glad u enjoyed it. I watched a few of your vids in the past 2

We're about the same size. I sent my suspension to Konflict Motor Sport. They specialize in the 690. Not that I needed to but I just wanted to. Looks like an amazing ride. I’m at the point of trying to decide what bike to buy and the 690 is currently on the top of the list for me. I come from a motocross racing background and I’m afraid some of the other bikes might feel under powered. Any thoughts?
@rotor676

@@trailtanadventures901 I come from a MX background 2. with the odd GSXR1000. but last 15 years was ridding 3 diff DRZ400 across western Canada & local totaling 160,000 kls. But I wanted a change settle on a KTM500excf but quickly learned that its a great all day bike in the woods with some gravel but not made for long distance 70mile pr hour ridding with 80lbs of luggage. Than i stumbled on Races to Places W/ Lindon Poskitt maybe your familiar. He drove his 690 Rally Replica around the world entering local races allong the way. I was hooked. Now I look at the 450 Kove and that looks interesting but than I learnt it just as heavy but almost half the power as 690, Nope I’m off that wagon. 690 or 701 is only 20lbs heavier than DRZ400 but what people dont say is that the weight is much more forward so the 690 feels heavier than it is, than again the 690 power is exhilarating. In my humble opinion buy a low kls 690 2020 and up. If your up to it put a Nova wide ratio gear box into it, give the bike incredible legs. but whatever. Than go get some man. LET me know what ya buy Good Luck kzitem.info/news/bejne/wmOd4Kd-gnt0ppgsi=v2k1P0UlPjS8WjWu Season 1 and still going

Only 1 big mod. I installed a wide ratio gearbox from Lydon Poskitt racing or from Nova. Much lower 1st and taller 6th. also put the biggest front sprocket that would fit and a larger rear sprocket to match so it lasts longer. Disconnected the kickstand switch and so-called speed shifter just cuz I hate that shit, oh, and removed the smog crap. No extra fuel tank just carried a fuel bag. Maybe your talking about my buddy who had a rally kit installed on his 690. That cost him over 10g and it was total shit. looks good but shit.
