These days, rubber bridge is out of fashion, since it relies to some extent on luck. But it's a great game, and is the antecedent of duplicate bridge that is played in bridge clubs worldwide. But it's only by understanding rubber bridge scoring that one can understand why bridge is scored the way it is. Take a walk down memory lane with me, as I go through how this great game is scored. (At the beginning, I wrongly said the white-board had a duplicate bridge score-pad written on it. That was wrong; the white-board shows a rubber bridge score pad layout.)
