Just followed the norm emissary tutorial to paint one as a surprise for my son’s birthday. It’s come out really well. He is going to be ecstatic. I am going to need more tanks however. Thanks Warhipster!

Definitely a model that takes to contrast or or washes well. That tail looks tricky due to being so smooth though.

It’s difficult and really I stay away from it, a lot easier to edge/glaze/layer imo it always looks ‘dry brushed’ for me.

Is it your lighting that is putting that gloss effect to the heavier carapace or am i losing my mind lol if so what are you using to gloss it because you dont mention it. I want to follow your video as this is my first norn and you do it absolute justice.

When you applied Nuln oil @33:10 , did you also do it over the head horns that were highlighted orange and washed with red? Or is it just over the black claws etc? I can't tell and I'm trying to follow along.
@Warhipster

Yes it is over the head horns as well. Anywhere that is black or with orangey red highlights is done with the Nuln Oil as well!

One day I can't ever understand is you do three to one for the skin red. And I do the exact same and he's almost still white and you are yours looks completely pink. Are you sure you're doing three to one because we never actually get to see you doing a mix
