great drummer, cheap drums... the triggers sound shot & the audio sounds compressed. i'm impressed he made do with the little setup he had to work with 😳
@LearnLizard

The drums actually sound half way decent into a good board, but got way over compressed with the camera's audio in. ...and yes the triggers on the hi hat are shot as well as the pedal not working. The drummer did an AMAZING job given all the limitations.

@@LearnLizard I’ve been wanting one for over 4 years! I emailed the company back then and they weren’t answering all my questions. Now… now that you have demonstrated them more clearly.., I want one. I need to save up a few extra $$ to get it.

Is the effect the same for the naked eye or is it because the camera fps synced to the refresh rate of the laser that you can see the "beam" of the laser creating a cone?
@emyalfaro
2 жыл бұрын
You can see the cone because of the hazer
@grnwlski

@@emyalfaro Yes, but is it also visible with the naked eye or just on video?

The effect actually looks even more amazing in person. The camera has a hard time capturing the true brilliance of the colors and the sharpness of the beams.
@cedricvillani8502

It’s 2.5Watts so thats 2500mw a normal laser pointer is 5mW lol so with some colors you can see the beam very brightly, green is the brightest, now this is not as effective in a lit room, so be sure to turn off the lights when your fapping in the dark to Skrillex with a belt tightened around your neck. These pro tips come in the LearnLizzard manual, not from wicked laser though sorry

Does it have to be connected to the ipad just for the programming, or could it be set up through a dmx controller?

I used my MacBook and the LaserOS app. You can also use a Windows machine. You don’t need a DMX controller. Thanks for watching!

I notice that neither the drummer, nor yourself, are wearing any safety goggles, even when you are in close proximity to the laser beams. I realize the drummer is facing away, though, I expect there are some reflective surfaces on the electronic drums. Is the LaserCube using a fat beam, or some technology to ensure it can't create blind spots on people's retinas?

Thanks for the astute observation. (I take my vision very seriously) I also try to be quite careful when I'm setting up these shots to make sure no light is reflecting back into anyone's eyes. Your comment is a good reminder that lasers (especially powerful ones like this) need to be treated with an abundance of caution.

Hi I’ve hooked this up to my drum brain and it works, but I cannot get it to save different colors to each pad. Every time I create a new pad with a new color it changes all the pads to the new color. Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong? Thank You!
@LearnLizard
Ай бұрын
Hi- After you have picked the color with the color slider did you make sure to press "S" key to save it before going to next pad? I think that's the key to saving each color separately. Hope that helps and thanks for watching.
