Yes and no. It will show a “stick drift” but it will either be a spring issue or simply that it needs recalibrated. We currently use Hall effect sensor style gimbals in rc controllers and very seldom are there issues. 1. Spring broke. 2. It needs recalibrated. (which is super easy to do via the computer) 3. Someone took it apart and didn’t put it back together right. (It’s usually this one lol) Arguably Hall effect sensors are 100x better than the current sensors they have in these gaming controllers and not much more expensive if at all.
@futbolfan27

2 changes that would make this controller perfect for me. First, I need Hall Effect sensors. It's time we actually address stick drift. Sure, you can play around it, but we have the tech to avoid stick drift so lets avoid that. Second, I need the software to standardize and bridge aim response curves and sensitivity between games. Every game has linear response curve. Utilize that as a baseline and use controller side software to tweak aim response curve and sensitivity. Have a built in conversion system so that the aim feels the same between games. For instance, I LOVE the dynamic response curve in COD, but it is COD specific and it makes it difficult for me to bounce over to Apex or other games. SCUF and Corsair are large enough that they can and should invest in their software to standardize the feeling of aim between games with a robust system that gives a wide variety of options. Those two changes would be absolute game changers and would put SCUF head and shoulders above the competition. Edit: Nvm I guess Hall Effect sensors are actually lowkey trash right now. I appreciate y’all who enlightened me on the reality of them.

Hell effect are not the endgame you think they are. They do fail, and just as often. The issue is when they do fail, its not drift, they just stop working all together. If you think these companies are ignoring HE sensors, they are not. a few have even said they have not been able to fit any hall effect sensors that stand up to their durability/reliability tests.

@aa-kz7hc

@@EmberGT3 they could be the endgame though. potentiometer sensors have been the main sensors used for gaming and with that comes innovation however tech can hit a peak and that's exactly what's happening with potentiometer sensors. a lot of people use the analogy of one step forward 2 steps back but sometimes you have to take those 2 steps back in order to go forward. and NO that's not to say that people should put up with bad reliability and durability but you should at least give it a chance to improve on such things because in theory if you do allow it to improve on such things it will completely surpass potentiometer sensors in every way. lastly I believe that biggest reason why companies will not make the switch to hall effect sensors nor will they innovate them is because of profit. why as a corporation would you switch to hall effects sensors that could potentially last decades over potentiometers that regularly forcing the consumer to shell out haver 40 to 50 bucks.

I'm shocked more controller companies haven't created software that allows KB mapping features until now. It won't take other companies long to create their own software if this product is a success. Adding extra keys is more of a cost and timing delay so in that regard SCUF will have a longer time advantage if this model is a success. 12:24 this is actually really cool that you can change the response curve but also know if this is one of the only selling points you can also change response curve on DS4/5. I also want to know more about the latency on the controller. What’s the Hz stock. If it can be overclocked. If it needs LoM HIDUSBF. What’s the max overclock from 1000hz to 8000hz? I think most games including MW2 have an auto run setting for controller. Since this is a PC controller you can always mute different audios by using a key on the keyboard like “M”which you can do in game, not really a selling point for me. Side controller buttons (the ones to ping or whatnot) aren’t new. No Hall effect thumbsticks, seems like they still would like to create a problem, sell a solution. It’s good that you can’t create macros that are unfair W there. Also the pricing is not bad.

Got the instinct pro recently after 2 Xbox elite 2s over 3 years. So far the scuff instinct pro has been super impressive. If the controller holds up over time it’ll easily be the best one I’ve ever owned. There are little things I wish they’d improve or take from the elite: I really dig the back buttons but feel like only two are usable and the carrying case on the elite with the built in charger is sneaky good.
@1SlyGuy
10 ай бұрын
Do you feel like only two paddles are useable because of where they are located compared to the elite 2 paddles? That’s one thing I have a tough time with other controllers with paddles. None seem to be as smooth as the elite 2 when it comes to comfort and ease of use for all 4 paddles.
@TylerPoppe
10 ай бұрын
@@1SlyGuy I wasn’t crazy about the elite paddles either because it felt a little bit of a stretch, but I think all 4 paddles were manageable. With the Instinct Pro, it feels like the 2 paddles inside on the handles are perfect, but to hit the paddles on the base back of the controller you have to do this weird forward motion. What I wish they or someone would do is put all 4 paddles or buttons on the stalks of the controller so your fingers can hit all 4 at once or individually. With the scuff it feels like to do a bunch of rapid button pushes would be difficult while keeping thumb on joystick because of that forward motion. Hope that makes sense. Still with the two buttons I’ll set one for jumping and one for slide canceling. Just wish the one of the forward motion buttons I could use for hitting someone (this is speaking on Warzone/cod) but I’m not sure it’s too fluid that way.
@jacquelinecapri9196

I feel the same way. The 2 underside buttons that you have to push forward are a dealbreakers for me. The scuf is built better and wins in every other aspect. I played with the scuf for a while, but went back to the elite 2 for that reason.

@@jacquelinecapri9196 hopefully they’ll do a new version one day that corrects it. You could have two buttons that your ring finger could trigger on the inside of the stalk of the controller. Would be phenomenal. Then get the new tech coming out that allows for stick drift replacement motors.

14:03 So I got the controller, but I'm wondering how you got your Auto Run to work. From your screenshare, I can tell that you have it set to a simple keybind, but did you make it so that it continuously holds down the 'W' until you press G5 again (like a toggle for the 'W' key), or is it mapped to another key that Warzone understands to be an "auto run" toggle? I'm hoping it's the former so that I can make it work in other games, like Elden Ring, that don't have a bult-in auto-run toggle-- BUT I can't find a way in icue to set a custom mapping to a toggle. Older icue forums will say "just enable 'imitate holding key'," but I can't find such an option anywhere (I'm wondering if it's only available for Corsair keyboards and mice).

I've never had issues with stick drift on my Reflex, but I can't argue with your experience. How bad was the drift? If it's too bad, you should be able to warranty the controller since it's under 12 months.
