Just half to mention Saturday nights race at Port Royal was tribute race for Jim Kline , they announced in pre race ceremonies that the A main was going to pay $22,000 to win and don’t believe no one knew this as they wanted to keep the invaders out so a local could win the money but guess what Brent Marks had planned to race there plus after Husets flooded out Macri drove 9hrs so he could race Port Royal and you guess right Macri won and Marks was second , so much for a Port Royal regular to win it ! Sandy Kline Jim’s wife I believe put up and announced the extra money , what an amazing woman she is and after losing her husband she’s still involved in a lot of things that’s going on at Port Royal

The scoring procedure used to give Sabo the lead back is the same used by the World of Outlaws: A car that DOESN'T STOP is not considered involved in any accident in which other cars DO stop. The "blend" rule is used only when the caution is called for a spinning car that DOESN'T stop--it's actually described as "inadvertent yellow", because a caution technically shouldn't be called until a car stops. The World of Outlaws have had this rule in place for at least as long as I've worked for the series--28+ years.
@DIRTRACKR
3 ай бұрын
Except the Fremont rulebook doesn't say any of that. The specific language says "A 360 spin, under green, will draw a caution and the offending car(s) will go to the tail." We can have a philosophical debate about the Outlaw rule, but if Fremont is going to use that, it needs to be more clear in their rules. Because when it isn't, then you create issues like we saw last night when everyone goes to see what exactly the book says and how the rules were applied.
@Gibvoice
3 ай бұрын
@@DIRTRACKR I think that rule applies to a spin ONLY--just as with the "blend" rule with the world of outlaws. In my mind, a "spin" means a single car with no contact. When there's contact between cars, only the cars that stop are deemed "involved". (But yes, perhaps more clarity is needed.)

The title and the sentiment is a little disingenuous as the totality of the racing at Lernerville was some of the best racing we’ve seen all year during the entire week. This includes impressive showings by multiple local teams. Certainly the main event wasn’t as interesting as last years but the first half was still a good battle. Ignoring the rest of the weeks racing just speaks to the extremely short attention span of fans and Americans today. Plus this channel tends to favor sprint cars. Favoritism that’s not too difficult to spot as it takes up 75%+ of the channels total coverage.

2:04 The second one. Some people refuse to accept that not every race can bring down the house. It's sport first, not entertainment. Sometimes it's a whitewash. The teams aren't there to be entertaining, they're there to beat the shit out of each other, and sometimes that's exactly what happens. I'm personally getting a little sick of this discussion continually popping up in motor racing.

I challenge you to review procedures at speedway before professing knowledge. Like many tracks abd series the rules are clear and simple. You stop, you go tail. I believe if look at Attica rules page you would find how was written previously and still apply butbi understand that onevtracks rules dont always apply to another. I will also stand on fact that common knowledge rules are whatvi described anywhere you go. Lets be honest, stupid southern racing rules or overthinking rules are hurting racing and the rules that were set forth in 8p by emick and others still apply or should apply vs giving into bulig teams/ money.. Simple rules you stop you go tail exist almost everywhere as does at fault caution. You spin and john boy flips, john boy true reason of. Caution/ red flag.
