A Conversation with Representative Leigh Finke about Legislative Action on Trans and Nonbinary Rights
Minnesota State Representative Leigh Finke, the first trans woman elected to the legislature in Minnesota, will discuss her work to protect trans and nonbinary people and their rights. There will be opportunity for Q&A and conversation, so attendees are encouraged to bring questions they’d like to ask. Attendees can expect to leave with concrete ideas for action.
Rep. Finke represents District 66A in Saint Paul. She is Vice Chair of the Legacy Finance Committee and serves on the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy, Human Services Policy, and Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committees. She is also Chair of the Queer Caucus which was formed in 2023. Rep. Finke is a long-time resident of Saint Paul’s Midway neighborhood. In her legislative career, she is committed to advocating for LGBTQ equality, climate justice, and the rights of incarcerated community members.
