1) Thank you for yout job, that is neat :) 2) The "Failed to execute script ***" issue : I've had it, and here is how I have solved it, for those you are in need. In my case it was linked to Tkinter, precisely to the fact that I have put an icon to the root window (like root.iconbitmap("path_to_the_icone.ico")). At first the path I had for the icon was relative ( the path was just "iconName.ico" because it was in the same folder as the python script), and it was causing the "Failed to execute script ***" issue. All I hav had to do to solve this is to put an absolute path instead of a relative one. So, more clearly, I went from : root.iconbitmap("iconeName.ico") => relative path => Failed to execute script *** to root.iconbitmap("C/user/[rest of the path]/iconeName.ico") => absolute path => no issue anymore. Also, in the absolute path, use / and not \ as it creates other issues. Thanks :)

Regarding that the python script runs properly by itself then this would have been caused by incorrect configuration or third party modules. The best way to find what the issue is, is to select the -d flag's button in the advanced tab and then re-package it. This will mean the exe is now in a debugging mode. Open up cmd and then run the exe using cmd e.g. "C:/folder/path/myexe.exe". Any errors will be preserved in the console which you were previously missing.

This is your anti-virus vendors fault, not you or the tool. Check out this: github.com/pyinstaller/pyinstaller/issues/2501#issuecomment-286230354 . There is nothing I or PyInstaller can do to stop this.

Give this a read: nitratine.net/blog/post/issues-when-using-auto-py-to-exe/#my-antivirus-detected-the-exe-as-a-virus Also I recently added an argument --build-directory-override as noted in the README at github.com/brentvollebregt/auto-py-to-exe which allows you to set where the builds are done. If you whitelist the folder you set and your output directory (usually /output in the current working directory) then you can stop antivirus from taking the file away.

It tells you "project output will not be moved to output folder", why would you expect it to be in the output folder then? Also there would have been errors before this that said what went wrong.

I cannot install pip version 10. If I do it by the conventional method... python -m pip install --upgrade pip ...cmd prompt abandons the process half way through. So I have a python 10 folder, but upon trying to do anything with it, cmd informs me I'm still running pip 9.01
@PyTutorials

This is not something I can fix, it is something wrong with your python environment. Maybe saying why it "abandons the process half way through" might help? Otherwise I cannot help sorry as I have nothing to go off. Also what's wrong with running pip 9.01? You should still be able to install modules just fine.

And I’m glad I didn’t have to do all the steps manually. I made sort of a Hangman program with words from a separate text file with Swedish city names. It all works great on my Windows PC.

Is the current working directory in the terminal the same directory that contains the requirements.txt? You should not see it complain about requirements.txt not existing if you are in the correct directory.

Buenas tardes. Gracias

There isn't much of an option to hide it from the start and then potentially open it again later on. My recommendation would be to package as no console and then put your output in a log file.
