What type of cord do you use? Do you use a different size cord for guys

The cord is a #36 nylon twine. I do not use a separate cord for guys. This one is pretty thick, and great for men. I purchase it at www.rosarymakingparts.com. They have the best pricing. If you go to twinebydesign.com, they are a little more expensive, but have a larger selection of colors. I know shipping is a killer for both, but I could not find it anywhere locally. Hope that helps!

Sorry for the delayed response. Both items are most affordable to street evangelization.com. They have lots of cross and medals.

Hi there. The internet is a good place to start. eBay has the components you need and of different varieties. Stay safe out there. Take care and God bless

There's a newer video showing the cord used: Artiste nylon #18 you can get from Hobby Lobby - kzitem.info/news/bejne/k4eNnIyGamahiaw. I myself use what's called Chinese knotting cord, the kind used for macrame, since I happened to have a lot from previous project. You can also get a paracord (parachute cord), which is very rugged but bulky. GabiAfterHour suggested that if you're using paracord, remove the stuffing first. hand soap -> (edited) I recycled the straw from hand soap pump bottle to make the helper tool by cutting a slit at one end to create channel through which the cord slips through inside the coil. I'm still struggling getting the first knot though. If I skip the loop that makes the adjustable sliding end, I can make the knot neat. But I want the "lasso" knot at the beginning, yet when I include it, somehow the coil unravel and doesn't stay in the order I start with.

For this particular style, I used a #36 nylon twine from rosarymakingparts.com. You can also buy that thickness in even more colors from twinebydesign.com. You can make it with the #18 that D.A. Tsun510 mentioned in his comment, but it would be much thinner. You can probably make it with the paracord, as was mentioned also, but I have not tried it. The finish product on paracord doesn't feel as soft and pliable as the nylon twine. That is why I prefer the nylon. Hope that helps!
