I could not figure why aroma brand didn’t work and I went back to presto. Presto has the green light and the instructions say to wait 10 minutes after green light. I don’t think I did that with aroma.

these method work on any rice, just the water ratio might need to be adjusted based on your preference, rice quality, and mix ratio. refined grain need less water then whole grain and sticky rice in general.

Erica... your constant deepdive into the ingredients and techniques is truly awe-inspiring! Simply brilliant! On the subject of rice, have you tried Iranian or Persian rice? They have an incredible range of rice and rice-cooking techniques, and the rice dish is an entree and delicacy in itself. The cooking process is more elaborate than how Chinese rice or Asian rice is cooked. Give it a go, I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot. Keep loving your word of the day more and more!!! 谢谢 Erica!

oh wow, I've never taste one no! I didn't even know those exist!! thanks for sharing, that opens up my eyes a lot! I did a quick search, and I saw a lot of rice crust going on, is that what they like? a more crispy texture with rice instead of fluffy? I'll have to visit a Iranian or Persian restaurants to taste the authentic flavor sometimes~

@@ericayeahtw The crispy part is only at the bottom of the pot, and it's most sought-after by Persian-rice-lovers. I think it's called tahdig, and crispy and delicious---everyone will compete for this part. It requires many washings, and it's kind of like a twice-cooked rice...very fluffy and flavorful by itself. The finished product may be comparable to fried rice but not exactly. It's usually topped with dried fruits like cherry, cranberry, raisins, etc. The saffron gives it a rich and coloful appeal. Visit a Persian restaurant, it will open your eyes. 好吃的!
