Thanks dude I’m gonna use this method tonight for a few strip steaks 🥩 I’m extremely financially poor so I rarely get too eat steak, and I don’t have grill or even a cast iron pan or anything else just an oven so this is perfect for Me, and it’s greatly appreciated you shared this video for broil only as most people always suggest a quick pan sear prior to sticking it in the oven, and so your method is simple for Me 👍

I found out how unevenly my Oven is. One steak was 145 degrees and the other (smaller steak) was 132 degrees. However, after doing a little bit of juggling, my prime T Bones were much better than the Pan Serring, then oven method. Unbelievable so! I was tasting a big hunk of Heaven! Just wow! Thanks for this!

My mother used to broil steaks all the time back in the '70s - I think it was a much more common method in the past. She used to serve them sizzling right off the broil pan, which was also common in those days - resting meat wasn't a thing back then 😄 Somehow I've never actually broiled a steak until now. Doing a "market" steak tonight, which i think is the same as a boneless ribeye. Thanks for the tips.

My mom did the same. She had metal steak plates that she'd put in the oven to heat up. They rested on a wooden holder so when she took the steak out of the oven she'd put it on the hot steak plate. Steak night was a favorite of mine because we didn't eat steak often so I always looked forward to the sizzling goodness!

When cooking with the heat source on the bottom, the "presentation" side goes down first, then you flip and cook for doneness. It's fairly easy to control and present a good looking steak to your guests. I assume when you broil, you still cook the presentation side first (facing up) and because you have it on a rack, it will still look good for presentation when done.

I have been cooking steaks ( mainly Ribeye Steaks ) in a Cast Iron Skillet for over 40 years now I have never cooked a steak by broiling it BUT I just purchased a broiler pan so I am going to give in a try a few days after Christmas .... A friend of mine that owned a butcher shop for over 20 years swears by it. I have never had a steak that was prepared by broiling it but IF it comes out ok I will be cooking all steaks this way in the future it sure sounds quick and easy I have never really liked to cook steaks on the grill as they usually come out dry.
