Scrambled Eggs whisked up in a freezer bag then put in the kettle on the Bushbox @the ‘Little Outdoor Kitchen’.
This cook-trekking video filmed along the Ayrshire Coastal Path (ACP) that stretches 106miles from Glenapp to Skelmorlie along a panoramic Scottish coastline. Views of Ailsa Craig subsequently change to the granite backdrop of the Arran mountain tops across the Firth of Clyde all along a coastline steeped in history and teeming with wildlife: wild goats, roe deer, seals, porpoises, basking sharks, otters, foxes, white hares, stoats and weasels, can all be seen by the intrepid ACP walker.
The Path opened in June 2008 and passes by countless Castles, where the Bruce landed, Trump Turnberry, Burns birthplace, the site of the Battle of Largs as well as the home club of the famous Torrance golf family before passing the only fully restored nuclear monitoring post in the West of Scotland.
Incoming tides can catch walkers out though so do check in advance where possible. The walk can be extended to reach the famous interior of Wemyss Bay station a terminus on the Inverclyde Line that won the 2023 World Cup of Railway Stations award!

GEAR: Enamel mug from Little Birnam Kitchen.
The titanium version of the Bushboc XL weighs in at 490g or 540g with the pouch - plus extra weight for the grill plates, pegs and extra trivets if you purchase them as well- and altogether makes for an excellent twig/wood burning stove. Great piece of kit that folds down flat-pack style.
The Trangia Kettle weighs in at 190g | 6.7 oz and has a 0.9L capacity - a compact kettle made from durable aluminium that works well on the Bushbox, charcoals and open fire without issue.
