Plantains, as per my research, is not the same as sabá bananas. Even their scientific names differ. So it is incorrect to use plantain as an English term for saba bananas. It is more correct to just use our own term for it - non-Filipinos should be better exposed to it so that when they come to the Philippines they readily know what it's called if they want it.
@jestsetter2575

@@kusinerodeleon7189& @jestsetter2575 thanks for the comment sirs....honestly speaking a lot of people here only knows the table banana...i mean the usual bananas being served as a dessert....those other variety or kinds of bananas (which is like 2 kinds only) can only be found in Indian markets here and some white race they dont really go there thats why they dont know about it....one more example...the sayote...they call it sousou here.. Bradley and Kyle and the rest dont know about it (pls see episode 44, chicken tinola) because they were not using it or putting it as part of their food.

Frying Banana is only good for special variety called in the Philippines "SABA" Other varieties are no good to fry its. But for me I better eat it a raw rife banana "Saba" without cooking it. '

Iba yung plantain.

@@nzsl368 Source:Wikipedia 😂😂 Plantains are natives mostly in Africa. Saba is a variety native in South East Asia, mostly in the Philippines. They are a different variety, pero parehong pamilya ng Saging. The Saba variety can be eaten as raw or cooked. Yung Plantain, mapakla yan pag uncooked. Use Google image and you'll see a different image for each variety.

@@jsbpinayvlogs So anong saging yan?
