Unlike some of the other videos on cookie tin makeovers, these are something I would actually like to display in my home. You are artistic and creative.

Wow they are gorgeous. and thanks for the links to the puffy paint. I have some quite interestingly patterned tins that could use a freshen up. Maybe some Christmas ones for cookies.

You are so sweet !! You share your DIY diaries with us selflessly and so easy to understand. And you give such positive credit to other DIY people. I love these cookie tins !! Immediately I thought of how I would want them in my fantasy beach house on the ocean. Those colors would be fantastic to match my nautical theme. [Think sea (azure gray) and seaweed (Icelandic moss) and sea shell (bleached oak)]. I live in North Carolina USA and not too far (about four hours) from the Atlantic Ocean. I love where I live but I might sell and move to the beach someday. Do you like the ocean ? My favorite tin is the first one painted with Azure Gray. You are ... by far ... the best MASTERCLASS DIY INSTRUCTOR on You Tube!! Thank you and may God, blessed be He, bless and keep you always !! ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっ⁖💞

They are very pretty but I am not sure they are food safe. Also the pattern looks like it would scratch off very easily.

Well, actually I made them about a year ago (this video is translated from my native language), and they're still perfectly fine, these outliners are really resistant. The thumbnail photo has been taken today, so I'm quite sure about that) And since food touches only the insides, which is not painted, I don't think it's a problem about the paint not being a special one, but if this bothers you, you can always use the tins for storing non-edible items

Irene, is this like puffy paint? I've not used either but the outcome looks similar.
@IrenesDIY

I used puffy paint and it was different, it made thicker lines and became puffy only after heating. But maybe it's just the difference in names and brands.. These outliners make super fine lines as you could see and look like very thick acrylic paint. If the puffy paint you have is similar then that's it!

@@IrenesDIY well I thought they did look much finer but I've never used outlining paint or puffy paint! As an outsider I just thought perhaps they were the same thanks for clearing that up! Beautiful work as always. I get excited when you put a video out. If my health was better I try every one of them!

Question: Painting where the lids attach don't interfere with putting lids back on?
@IrenesDIY

No, it works fine, if the paint layer is not too thick)
