Heard this song for the first time at the USO at our Army base in Northern Japan, (Hokkaido), when I was 19. The harmony stood out and this song is just another addition of the great music that I got to enjoy during high school and my military service. Songs like this also reduce the amount of homesick many of us endured.

This group had the potential to surpass the more popular "girl groups" of their day, with that sultry contralto lead and tight AF harmonies. Damn shame that for whatever reasons, they didnt. this song has been in my ear since i was 5 wayyyyy back in '73. It was also in my moms ear in the 60's, and it stands the test of time. I wish we had heard more from these talented women. And that pic is 💯 not them. 😂
