I recommend adding a handful of mozzarella cheese in the mash as well... cheesy mash ftw. - on a side note, I've taken to cooking mash in the microwave - prep as normal (wash and decrappify the potatos), prick them with a fork on all sides, then throw 'em in a microwave safe bowl for 10-15 minutes until the skins get really wrinkly and you can squish them easily. then follow the normal mash recipe (butter, maybe some milk) and smash 'em all up. The Skins get cooked a bit more as well so you get that cooked skin texture as well, which makes it even better. :D. Give it a go.

I too love Bangers & Mash. If you want creamier mashed spuds (10 mins 40 secs - 12 mins 20 secs) use a stick blender with a mash attachment. Result = a "smoother" & creamier product. One other thing, try making the gravy from scratch. Better than that store-bought stuff. It's cheaper, & heathier. You don't know what "muck" they have added; (eg Potassium Chloride & artificial flavours, etc). Hope you find your better fish & chips Greg.

Hes likes simple cooking if haven't noticed with his other videos, I'm a chef and love cooking and theres always things I could point he should of done but I don't bother because he's cooking everything his own way, I'm sure if he wanted creamier smoother mash he would of peeled the potatoes so there isn't chunks of skin. He cooks his own way

Thanks Greg, I've been cooking for years and not once did I ever think to use the onions in the same pan as the sausages and then add the gravy mix to the pan. There does seem to be a LOT of carrots in that mixed vege bag, carrots are cheap and larger than other veges, that's why they do that. Nothing wrong with carrots though. One question though, have you ever done a video on Macaroni cheese baked in the oven? I'd really enjoy seeing you whip that up!

OK, so this is an older video, so the chances of cooking sausages may have had many a technological revolution, but for me, I like using a griddle frying pan, the grooves in the cooking surface (depending on the style) allow that the sausages lay in them and are given a bigger cooking surface area and tend to hold a straighter shape.
