This is a fun modified Asian meal cooked while my boys played in the background (hence the extra noise). It was quite entertaining to use 3 modes of cooking/appliances/tools. I hope you all enjoy!
The egg rolls were made from leftover pork bbq and an Asian slaw mix. I cooked them in a 2 quart air fryer. These cook at 390 degrees for 4 minutes (not 6 as in video) turn them and cook for 4 more minutes. I mixed a little bbq sauce and soy sauce with the mixture.
The steak skillet meal contained a 1/4 chopped sweet onion, 1/4 cup chopped orange pepper, garlic, ginger, splash of orange juice and 1/4 cup Mr. Yoshida’s sauce. I sautéd the veggies in olive oil before adding the meat. Cook in a cast iron skillet for about 8 minutes. Add the sauce and orange juice and cook until flavors combine.
The rice was cooked in a 3 quart Instant Pot Duo. This mini pressure cooker was perfect for 2 cups of rice mixed with 2 1/2 cups of water. I used the metal trivet in the bottom of the pot. I placed the rice with water in a 6” cake pan to avoid scorching on the bottom. I pressed the rice button and let it release naturally.
