What a really fantastic video! It was really great watching you with such a lovely ,warm and friendly guest (Marika). It is all true what Marika said , even here in Malta very little was taught about Türkiye and really like me what got me interested in Türkiye was the drama “The Magnificent Century” then I just learnt more about the history , the food ,which we all enjoy at home, the culture and now I am even trying to learn Turkish. One day I hope to visit Türkiye . God Bless you all. Love and greetings from 🇲🇹😍😍❤️🌹

Your friend is right. I am from western Europe and we don't know enough about the cultures and history of western Asia. There have been empires that had a big impact on the world ... The Ottomans, byzantium and Persia... We should learn more about these

The Ottoman Empire is not taught at all in western history. I studied history in high school and we were taught nothing about the reasons of WW1 or about the Gallipoli campaign. The Turkish series like Ertuğrul, Osman, Büyük Selçuklu have played a large part in bringing positive information about Turkish history. Thank you for your content it’s great to see westerners following and wanting to know more about Türkiye and Islam.

Great experience for Marika and you... Great to exchange experiences, recipes, stories to get to know better each other... True, schools all over the world focus on their own history and don't say much about other countries. Would be nice if all of them could arrange to have a basic syllabus where all kids could learn at least something about so many other countries. We could raise a new generation of more tolerant and open minded people for a better world... But this is just wishful thinking...
