I really appreciate your videos. My grandmother and aunt taught me to crochet when I was in elementary school, but my skills hadn't really progressed. Its really inspiring and awesome to see another black woman with a passion for crochet. You're a great online mentor. Yah bless you!

My second video of yours..I am hooked. Wow you are a talented teacher. I have not crocheted in 30 years, and was a novice then. Thank you so much. Also, I love supporting a black women in her business. We should always support each other. Really you are supporting me. This gives me so much peace. Each stitch is a prayer.

Omg 😱 this was an excellent tutorial. I learned what blocking is and why my work curls up on me. I despise when it does that it looks sloppy and doesn’t have that finishing touch. Thank you very much! 🥰

Toni, Hi I am new to TLC Yarn ‘crafts and I just watched a blog where you answered questions from your subscribers.As i have been watching your reviews of yarn and hooks I thought I had an affinity to you - you had to be in HR and you told us that your prior job was in HR! I spent 30 years in HR and ended up as an HR Director for the county. How small a world we live in. Instead of quoting my job I retired and my daughter and I opened a bakery. Your blog about the things people say it happens in our world too. People would say Well i could make that better than you did. Do yu give a discount for buying more than one cupcake? People are so infuriating! Thank youu for sharing your knowledge with all of us. One day I will try Tunisian crocheting. And I can’t believe how fast you crochet! Thanks again. Kelly😊

I love how you break down each stitches and pattern to show me how to do certain stitches and patterns but I have one question I did fall asleep on a couple of your stitches patterns the question I have right now is how can you have you ever made baby outfits or like baby booties or blankets baby hats yes I am tired of the same stitches but I only have short hooks I don't even have long hooks that had a string on the end of it.

Hi Toni finally after getting my tension correct, and counting that there are no extra stitches my scarf is getting more bowed and it is now resembling an open fan. The wool is 100% acrylic. If I carry on I will he’s made a cloak at this rate. This will be my first crochet garment. When I went up 2 sizes crochet hook the bowing didn’t happen I now have a number of options 1. Carry on and make a cloak, 2. Find a different stitch. 3. Undo and start again or 4. Continue with the 7mm crochet hook. What would you do please. Thank you for all the help you have given me, I now only follow 2 you tubers for crochet. I hope you have a good week. Hugs and Loves xxxWendy.

Hi Toni. This is a beautiful pattern and today my lovely post lady bought my wool I ordered last week however it’s an Aran weight not sure what that is in the US. I was looking at putting 50 chain is this a pattern repeat over x amount of stitches because I want it wide enough to cover my shoulders and to my elbows. Thank you I love your channel. Hey Toni! Love you tutorial as always!! I'm a beginner crocheter and I just have one question. I made the 81 rows for the brim of the hat and mine is a little bigger than yours because I don't have a 4 mm size hook so i just used my closest size which is a 5.75 mm. Now it's too big to fit the person I was making the hat for. Anyone know what to do?? Should I just adjust the pattern and take off a couple rows?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@TLYarnCrafts

I don't think you need to block the hat. But, if you find your hat is really stiff and you want it softer, you can run it through the wash (depending on your yarn, and remove the pom), or just spray it with fabric softener mixed with water and let it dry.
