This game comes from Richard and Judy's UK TV show and was explained to me by my colleague (thanks, Alex!)
You first create create slides for each key term, fact or other content. The slide can have the term at the top and some images, or even just words. In groups of three, one student sits with their back to the slide. The other two group members give them tips on the term to help them guess. They play for 1 minute and see how many they get right.
Variations (Thanks again, Alex!)
Another option is to play in groups of 4 (2v2). You can post the key terms on a ppt on Google Classroom beforehand, so they can work in groups for a period of time to come up with good descriptions for each term. Then use a second ppt for the game where they're all jumbled up and every third slide is something random. In the older groups (and time permitting) they can submit the random items that I can add to the game (criteria: everyone in the group should know what it is (no niche stuff!)).
Time permitting the group goes twice so everyone gets a turn at guessing and describing. Sometimes strong students dominate and don't let the others speak, so you can assign a 5pt bonus or whatever once all members have spoken / guessed correctly.
You could have sudden death rounds where one member from each group goes to the front and the teacher describes and the first to guess gets the point wins.
Негізгі бет Cool classroom game - you say, we pay!
