Steel wheels are crazy resilient. I've bent some gnarly wheels back to round and used them for years afterwards

Once the steel has been heated, also known as annealing, it changes the structure of the atoms and molecules that are aligned during the forging and quenching processes used when it was made new. This is why a knife blade, for instance, is tempered, and heat treated so the blade has a harder portion and a more ductile portion. One can not set an edge on the non-tempered side of the blade. It is softer not capable of holding an edge. If you heat the harder side that the edge is set on, it will soften the steel, and the blade will not hold an edge and can break depending on the alloy. So to say that "restoring " bending this destroyed rim is "as good as new is very inaccurate. It may be round again but will not be capable of withstanding the same wear and tear that the original could prior to the "squaring " abuse. It is basic metallurgy. I work with metal daily as a structural steel builder, so when most read this, they'll say, "He don't know shit." I'm not losing sleep over it.

Это колесо уже для запаски, не просто так ведь в желтый цвет перекрасил!!!

Ремонт по цене будет дороже нового диска. Нет смысла.

@some irish fella I’ve been not sure even before the movie, Irish. No I thought he would patch the tire on the inside while it was off the rim instead of just putting that plug in it after it was inflated. That’s all I was saying ….have a good one.
