I was there today and a red squirrel crossed the pathway in front of me, so nice.

My great grandfather, planted a birch tree, when lady Gregory died in 1932, it still stands today, its my home house, I live in caherpeak, a mile and a half from kilcolgan village, you can see the tree from the road, on the other side of the gable, near the garden, we live in a green dormer house, the tree will be 91 in May, and still looks good.

How very sad such an important house was eliminated.

Yes visited today..😢 a shame it was demolished I presume it was deemed to cost too much ££ from the Government at the time.

This is a beautiful place. It is also kid friendly, picnic friendly and yet so quiet in places.
