Back when the reviewed products were affordable for the average garage gym owner 😂

I disagree with folks about you being less sincere now. You're still super sincere, video quality is just getting better. You should be very proud of your journey.

What you lacked back then in production value you more than made up in authenticity. Using your actual garage made the channel a lot more relatable to people. You appealed to an audience that was already training at a commercial gym or a crossfit gym and showed them that it was possible to create a high performance training space at home. The time period when you were in the garage with the wooden paneled walls was peak Garage Gym Reviews.

One that sticks out for me is that over sized boomerang thing you had. Side note I also used some big construction lights early on except they weren’t LED so besides being blindingly bright, they got the rooms so hot 😆

I actually got the LED light idea from Matt Vincent, I believe with his old videos. Maybe we were watching the same ones. Funny to look back on. - Coop

how about reviewing your old gyms. Using old video, discuss your old gyms. Where were you in your journey, how was your old gym organized, what worked, what didn't, show it in use and its design. Show the progression. Maybe grade each gym you built on how effective it was at meeting the goals you had at the time.

You give some b-roll now, but would be great to see you and the team truly challenging yourself in realtime as a part of the review. There are too many episodes of you sitting in the studio now for my tastes. I rarely finish those videos.

We do that all the time. On the Rogue Echo Rower video we had a Beyond Power Voltra strapped to it to test it's metrics. However, will see how we can add more of those ideas in. Appreciate the feedback. - Coop

Life is all about timing Coop was the very first home gym equipment reviewer and it caught on, nobody cares about watching another man train, especially when he trains doing olympic lifts and running. People ain't tuning in for that, but to hear how good a new piece of equipment is and should I buy it, Yeah they're tuning in for that. He came along at the perfect time, if Coops was 5-10 years younger, he would be just another struggling reviewer that sacrifices their integrity & honesty just so he can make a few more videos. Tragically his dream has turned into liars and cheats. Most reviewers now are just a paid ad for equipment and you can't trust anyone. The ones that tell the truth and are honest can't make money so they can't afford to continue making videos and the liars and cheats rule the business. It's sad, the idea Coop came up with was s good one but money ruined it but Coop I'm sure started this to make as much money as he could so its successful for me but for us consumers we are the ones that get cheated because we cant trust anything a reviewer says. I learned that the hard way

Coop, I don’t know if you yourself read these, but honestly, I was inspired (like many others) to make a home gym because I stumbled across your videos 2 years ago. You made it seem so doable. I understand that as you grew, the channel has become more mainstream so you get more sponsorships and brand deals or whatever but you and your crew gotta get paid, so I personally don’t think you’ve “sold out”. I appreciate all you guys do! (Done glazing now 😅)
