If you’re picking top five in the draft and you’re looking for an elite star, you have to go with a player that has elite upside in shot making shot playmaking or shot creation these three areas and even better all three areas. Flag just screams elite glue guy. And as I have stated about roster building, he’s basically very similar to Noah clowney and Claxton so you’re gonna have three players on the court who don’t have shot creation that could be a problem.

I’m Most likely going to be the minority on this, (this is why only a few teams win) I think if they tank to get Flagg or anybody in the draft, it is a loser mentality, and if they do that they’re going to be rebuilding for years. They need to play to win now don’t send the wrong message to the organization and players that you’re tanking. They have some talent and they can make some trades to bring in more talent particularly in the front court. They can make a playoff spot or at least a play in if they go all out, they need to start a culture of winning. I’m not OK with this tanking nonsense. If this is the route, they choose to go that will come back to haunt them. And they will continue to be a loser organization.

@deerow2121 Never doing a rebuild organically and trying to buy a championship twice has derailed Brooklyn the last decade and a half 😮..... Again none of us want this team to have a losing mentality or be mediocre for 3-4 years.... But strategically in this new CBA era drafting homegrown talent and stars are going to be more crucial than having 2-3 stars on a team due to the financial consequences of being over the apron 😮. Look at the Suns for example. Their big 3 got crushed by the Timberwolves and their bench didn't add much.... But fortunately for Brooklyn they have 6 picks in next year's historical draft 🔥 and have a legitimate shot at getting a pick selection in the top 3 😎.... Tanking this season will be tough for fans and some of the current young core. But it doesn't mean they can't work on improving their games or being competitive..... @@jonathanoscategui2678 I hear what you’re saying. I just respectfully disagree. You don’t need three superstars but the way Brooklyn was able to get three superstars was by being the best they can possibly be and playing hard with the winning mentality, which is what they were before Kyrie and Durant and Harden got there. Now, as far as the draft picks go, they still have a lot of draft picks and even if they lost 70 games, you’re still not guaranteed to get Flag. And if you play as hard as you can make the best decisions you can, and still wind up getting Flag even more the better. Just keep in mind most teams become professional rebuilders the Detroit Pistons won in I believe 2004. They been rebuilding ever since 20 years later and they still tanking for draft picks. It’s a nasty disease man and Brooklyn is very close to having that disease. I hope they don’t go for it play as hard as you can. When is many games you can pull a couple of trades get a big man and let the draft chips fall where they may, that’s my opinion.
