Japanese Yamaha Volvo V8 in that S80. Dead reliable motors. Also those headlights turn off when the car turns off, no need to turn the switch. Only mode it stays on it is the parking lights mode. Nobody tried to kill the battery with the headlights. Most likely just drained from sitting forever connected. I have the non turbo 6 cylinder. The only thing to watch on the 2007 V8s are the transmissions but if it made it this far it's fine. Almost every part interior and exterior are interchangeable from 2007 thru 2016 with the exception of some exterior parts on 2015 and 2016s.
I've never heard of a V8 transmission going bad, but I know the older T6's are known for transmission failures. At least that's how it is on the XC90.

Agree with previous comment, the Pontiac Vibe is a rebadged Toyota Matrix, that uses the same powertrain as the Toyota Corolla. Way back in the day, I used to work at the GM/Toyota Plant in California and the Toyota Corolla, Geo Prism, and Pontiac Vibe rolled off the same production line. The powertrains were made offsite by Toyota for all these cars, so its no surprise that Vibe lasted to 300K+. Also the Door Check is broken in the drivers door, cheap part that is interchangeable from the Corolla, Vibe and Matrix, easy car to work on and the parts are cheap.
