Look at the C the vid is clearer. It takes 4 hours to upload a clear vid. Not easy on a busy day.

I am sorry about the quality guys, this was a 15minute vid and at this quality it took most of the day to post. The vids we have are much higher than what you see here.

Bad quality video sometimes shows the essential: where to put the pressure and build up the main structure of calligraphy pattern. That’s not bad at all, even if measured by 2019 standards. Regards from new student(s) all over the world :)

Paul, I, as others really appreciate your excellent teachings on calligraphy and letter forms. Just a point of observation - Often I find it difficult to see many of the fine lines of your demonstrations. I think this might be possibly from your lighting set up, or due to the highly reflective nature of your paper, as there appear to be several very bright highlights on your work as your write. In upcoming videos would it be possible to adjust the angle of your lighting to allow a bit more contrast to be visible, which I hope would allow all the lines of your examples to be seen more easily. Thank you for all your great teaching.

herrpummel thank you for you observations but what you fail to realise is, i filmed these vids to show in classes, not really to be put up on KZitem, I put them up because I had them. You are asking me to invest in lighting and changing things around. I am sorry the resolution is not better, but that was also due to issues i had with the ISP. I am not a tech guy, so i either post what I make or I dont post it. Unless you feel the need to come to the studio and help me set this up so the contrast is right!

Now, that would give me a distinct reason to travel to England... I appreciate your videos as they are very informative and demonstrate your skills very nicely. I'm just recently trying to get into the round point styles after beginning with more italic styles. Could you share what type/brand of ink(s) you use most. Your inks seem to have much more substance than anything I've experienced thus far. thanks for responding.

poerc no there isn’t. Remember I do these whilst I am teaching. They were not specifically made for KZitem.

Nancy Fullerton All you had to do was turn the screen! This was over 4 years ago before I learned I could flip my screen. It is all a learning process
