Why is it that people now-a-days are never satisfied to pursue the simple achievements? Its the super dangerous life threatening that they go after? And sometimes not even when they see how some of their fellow friends loose their lives,p they'll have second thoughts, about putting their lives in danger and the same happening to them. Where's does their love for their family counts? they are so careless in staying alive and most importantly, being well to raise. the kids they brought into this world! I remember in the early seventies they have those really tall Toboggan at the entaietainement parks and I really want to go slidding down one and went! I was then a young single mother of a few months old baby! They had just thrown wax over it! Going down and up and then just hitting the top of the ups & downs I suddenly realized that i wasķ sliding down way to fast, what if I didn't stop at the end of the run?? I would hit the metal gate about 8 ft away at the entrance and no doubt bust my body against it at a very high speed! The realization at the moment that this fun thing could be very dangerous to my health and leave my daughter motherless hit me like a ton of bricks and there was nothing left to do but pray that it ends well and I could go back home to my baby safe and sound That was the moment in my life, that responsibility knocked at my door, and I promissed that I would never again put myself in a situation where my daughter run the risk of being motherless, since I was her only support! Exaggerated, looking back at what I was so fearful of, maybe, but the fear was so very real!

I can say this from experience. There is some advanced skill sticking the landing bc most people sit back too far when they are scared at first contact w the snow if they are scared or don't have the skills (yet). Makes the speed scrubbing first turns impossible, then it's "downhill from there" and tough to recover.
